Handbook of Georgia State Agencies
Published in Paperback by University of Georgia (September, 1988)
Author: Edwin L. Jackson
Average review score:

Georgia state government 101!
Living in the state of Georgia and not knowing to much about the government entities (ancencies or institutions for that matter), I thought it would be prudent on my behalf (and wise one could possible say to) to find out more about the Georgia State agncies by examining and reading this book in question, i.e., Handbook of Georgia State Agencies by Edwin L. Jackson. What this tool (reference work) does is describe the history and reason d'aitre for many of the agencies and does write in clear and precise terms. The font is ok and could have been a bit better. However, it can be said to be adequate which is much better then other titles. Recommended.

He's a Bad Boy (Silhouette Special Edition, No 9787)

:)
Jackson Moore rescued Rachelle one night from Jackson's enemy Roy Fitzpatrick. Roy turned on Jackson with a knife. Jackson and Rachelle took off and hid in a neighboring house. Before that night the only thing that Rachelle knew about Jackson was that he was the town bad boy. Nevertheless, none of that mattered because now they were alone and all Rachelle wanted was to make love to Jackson. Jackson knew it was wrong, but he wanted Rachelle as much as she wanted him. After a night of passionate lovemaking Jackson and Rachelle were awakened by the police. They stunned Rachelle when they charged Jackson with murder and she was his only alibi. Jackson leaves town and Rachelle is left to deal with her ruined reputation.

Twelve years later both come back to find the truth. There search for the truth will only bring them closer together or tear them further apart. This was a story not only about the love between two people, but about a town filled with secrets and lies. The truth became clear early in the book, but it was still nail biting when it was revealed. This was an excellent start to the Mavericks series by Lisa Jackson.

Head of the Line: A Holocaust Survivor's Memoir
Published in Paperback by Moriah Offset Corporation (31 December, 2000)
Author: Michael Jackson
Average review score:

A Miraculous Story of Survival
It's hard to imagine that a society could tolerate the killing of 6 million Jews. It's even harder to imagine how this happened only six decades ago. I have studied and read many Holocaust books, but I can not remember one that affected as deeply as Michael Jackson's memoir and story of survival in Head of the Line: A Holocaust Survivor's Memoir. Mr. Jackson not only recounts a personal tale, but he tells the story of European Jews prior to World War Two. His use of Yiddish reminded me of a language past that my grandparents spoke about. Mr. Jackson gives a first-hand account of growing up as a Jew in the Carpathian Mountain region of pre-World War II Czechoslovakia. He proudly recounts his days growing up surrounded by a large extended family that treasured life, religion and freedom. His memoir traces his journey through the Holocaust as he bore witness to the atrocities of the war and the destruction of his family. He tells his story of survival in detail, from his deportation from his home, to forced labor marches and slavery to Dachau and eventually America. It is through acts of unexplained miracles, courage and a strong will to survive that Mr. Jackson is able to share his story. In just a few years time, we will rely on books like Mr. Jackson's to teach and explain the Holocaust. It is from this memoir that I will teach my children and my children's children about the Holocaust. It is for that reason that I recommend this book. Mr. Jackson's memoir will forever remain on my bookshelf.

Uplifting!
I was encouraged and inspired by the writer's honesty. At times I felt that she was holding back from really telling what or how things happened, but over all her story was beautifully done. I wish her continued healing and success!

Excellent Biography!!
In this book, Helen Hunt Jackson is an excellent and fascinating biography of an independent 19th century lady whose claims to literary fame rests on her remarkable circle of friends and a single romantic novel that aroused the public sympathy towards the plight of the American Indian.Helen Hunt Jackson was the author of "Ramona",a tragic novel of social injustice. After more than a century(and more than 350 successive printings)Ramona is still in print and has been compared to "Uncle Toms Cabin" that is one of the best selling books in publishing history. The saga of Ms. Jackson's life has all the scope and diversity of good romantic fiction and is peopled with an incredible cast of characters including her life long friend,Emily Dickinson;her literary advisor,Ralph Waldo Emerson and her California mountain guide,John Muir. This is a great book!!

Hero Tales Vol III
EXCELLENT Book!!!!! I bought Vol 1, 2 & 3 for my kids. We enjoy them as either devotionals or just as regular bedtime stories. My 7 year old asks if these are REAL people or pretend like most stories. It's great to tell him they are REAL people who did great things for the Lord!

High Cold War: Strategic Air Reconnaissance and the Electronic Intelligence War
Published in Hardcover by Patrick Stephens (June, 1998)
Author: Robert Jackson
Average review score:

Air and Spy ops during the Cold War
The Cold War was more then just paranoia and runs to close sometimes nonexistent missile-, tank- or bomber-gaps. The Cold War was 'hot' in the air. Downing the U-2 of Powers was only one small part of the whole story. This books tells more about this chapter of history which didn't found its way to public knowledge yet.
